VAISEF Membership & Accreditation Application (click to download)
To apply for
membership into VAISEF, complete Part A and mail 3 completed copies of
the application along with the $100 application
fee to the
VAISEF office at 823 East Main Street, Suite 1300, Richmond, Virginia 23219. Upon
receipt, it will be reviewed by the Membership
Committee and then passed on to the VAISEF Board of Directors
for final approval. From the date of submission of the
application to final approval by the Board of Directors usually
takes 60
to 90 days.
To be considered for accreditation, a program must be a member of VAISEF, and have been in operation and licensed by the Department of Education for at least one year and hold a one year renewable DOE license. Potential members are welcome to apply for Membership and Accreditation simultaneously. In that situation, Membership will be approved first and then the Accreditation process will take place subsequently. Please see the document below regarding the fees for accreditation.

the Board of Directors may take up to one year.

VAISEF re-accreditation for your facility, please complete Parts A, B, & C and mail 3 completed

Costs Associated with Membership & Accreditation - This documents covers VAISEF's policies on fees associated with the application, accreditation site visit reviews, and membership dues.
VAISEF Code of Ethics - This document includes the VAISEF Code of Ethics and explains the association's expectations. New members should include a signed copy of this document with all new Membership and Accreditaiton applications. The Code of Ethics will also be included with VAISEF's annual dues invoicing for an annual reminder and signature.
VAISEF Change of Ownership Form - This form should be filled out if and when the ownership of a VAISEF facility changes. A new membership application will also be required to be submitted at that time.
About Accreditation - This document gives an overview of VAISEF's authority to accredit schools, the benefits of accreditation and how accredited schools should accurately represent their accredited status.
