James Redford’s powerful documentary film on the impact of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) on children’s (and adult’s) functioning and how to build resilience in individuals, families and communities.  Preventing and treating traumatic and toxic stress provides promising results in what many consider to be the largest public health epidemic in American history.  Come join the movement!

Paper Tigers Screening
Charterhouse School and UMFS invite you to come join the growing trauma-informed/resliency movement as we host a community screening of the award-winning documentary Paper Tigers with a short opportunity for discussion to follow. Paper Tigers follows a year in the life of an alternative high school that has radically changed its approach to disciplining its students, becoming a promising model for how to break the cycles of poverty, violence and disease that affect families.
