Principal – Rivermont School

The Principal is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the individual school as well as ensuring appropriate long-term planning for each school year. He/she is responsible for the supervision of all staff and students. This position promotes high academic, behavioral, and therapeutic standards; and serves as a resource for information to students, their families, staff, and community agencies.

Master’s degree. (special education, school administration and supervision, or general education is preferred)

A minimum of three years working with students with disabilities. Direct teaching experience with an emotionally disabled or learning disabled school-age population and one year administrative experience within a special education program is preferred.

The Principal/Instructional Leader shall hold or be eligible for a valid 5-year renewable postgraduate professional license issued by the board with an endorsement in school administration and supervision, or special education and have at least three years of experience working with students with disabilities. Valid driver’s license.
