Mr. Covington is a well sought-after speaker, presenter, leadership development coach and mentor who has traveled the nation to speak to crowds of more than 3000. In 2018, Qu’ Derrick was acknowledged as one of the most prominent voices of his generation and could impact the lives of all ages. Mr. Covington has been featured in Black Male PhDs, Howard University Bison Beat, and in The Academy of Preachers, to name a few. In 2016, He was invited to our nation’s capital by Congresswoman Marcia L. Fudge to discuss voting rights and other Important Issues facing today’s Millennial. Qu’Derrick holds a bachelors’ degree from Fayetteville State University; in spring 2015, he became a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc., Where he served on the fraternity’s national board of directors as the 59th Southern Region Assistant Vice President. Mr. Covington then went on to continue his education at Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University, also known as FAMU, where he graduated with his Master of Science degree while also holding a degree in Christian Ministry from More Than Conquerors College, in Charlotte, N.C. He now attends Howard University pursuing a Ph.D. in Higher Education Leadership and Policy.
Mr. Covington currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Tulsa Speaks Consultant Firm LLC., which provides interactive workshops, seminars, and keynote addresses. In 2019, Qu’ Derrick founded The Tulsa Initiative Inc., a digital mentoring platform that uplifts and motivate while inspiring generations to liberate themselves to freedom while impacting and serving their communities. Qu’ Derrick is also the Co-Owner of Glenn & Covington Real Estate Company located in the DMV area.
