Dear Member Schools,

It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of our Executive Director, Jerry L. Baldwin.

Jerry was an extraordinary leader whose dedication to VAISEF shaped not only our organization, but also the many schools, educators, and students we collectively serve. His vision, integrity, and unwavering commitment to excellence strengthened our community and advanced our shared work in meaningful and lasting ways.

We recognize that this loss is felt across our entire network. Many of you had the opportunity to work directly with Jerry, and we know their leadership and partnership made a significant impact on your schools and programs.

During this time, we remain committed to supporting our member schools and ensuring continuity in our work. The staff of the Virginia Council for Private Education (VCPE) Grace Creasy and Dana Heller have graciously offered to provide interim leadership while we search for a new Executive Director.
